Service
Service is a fundamental component of the Scouting Program. Every young person as well as their community benefit because of the service Scouts provide. Scouting encourages/requires each Scout to participate in at least one service project annually.

It is not only important for the benefitting individual, party or community, but also for the Scout. Service teaches young people the value of taking on a project from start to completion. It also engages the young people in their community, preparing them to enter adulthood.
