Cub Scout Leader Training
| Cub Scout Leader Fast Start |
| All new Cub Scout leaders should take Fast Start training as soon as possible. This course, consisting of a video and discussion, takes approx. 1 1/2 hrs. If your Pack or District does not have a course scheduled, click on the following link to take Fast Start over the Internet. |
| In order to view video and audio elements, you will need to have the QuickTime plug-in—free software that can be downloaded from http://quicktime.apple.com/. A high-speed internet connection is also recommended, as it may take a long time to download these files by modem. |

| Cub Scout Leader Position Specific Training |
| After a Cub Scout leader has taken Fast Start Training and New Leader Essentials, he or she should attend the training course specific to the program he or she will work with. Cub Leader Specific Training provides tools and skills to provide your Cub Scouts with an exciting and meaningful experience, which conforms, to the BSA Program Goals and Policies. Specific Training will provide valuable information and enhance necessary skills all leaders need to carry out their functions as Committee Chair, Committee Member, Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Tiger Cub Leader, Assistant Tiger Cub Leader, Den Leader, Assistant Den Leader, Webelos Leader, or Assistant Webelos Leader. Specific Training helps explain the duties and privileges of each of these leadership positions and explain how they work together to accomplish te aims, principles, and methods of the Boy Scouts of America. Specific Training will also provide an opportunity for fellowship between leaders, an open exchange of ideas and help to establish a support network. Come and learn in a fun and enjoyable environment. |
Note - Cub Leader Specific Training is offered in every district several times in the fall and spring.
