Basic Archery Instructor Training
Basic Archery Instructor Training

Check-in will be at 8:30am at the archery range and will start promptly at 9am and end at 4pm.

Class will be held Rain or Shine. There will be signs in the parking lot to direct you way as you walk to the archery range. The cost will be $40.00 on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Lunch will be provided (it’s part of your fee) at our dining hall.

You can register on line or in the Scout Shop.

Since Camp Barstow has an outdoor range, you will need to dress appropriately. No baggy shirt sleeves. Long hair will need to be tied up and out of the way. Bowstrings are unforgiving, pulled out hair is painful!

Things to bring:
Comfortable camp chair, Clip Board & Note taking stuff - Camp Tables aren’t conducive to note taking and aren’t very comfortable.
Water bottle - we will provide cold water at the range. Hydration is a must.
Comfortable Clothes, Sunglasses & Shoes - Dress for the weather and wear shoes with good support. You could be standing a lot.
Snacks and Munchies are fine. A small cooler will work well. Remember walking from the parking lot to the archery range is about 200 yards. We want to keep our range free of trash.
A positive attitude. A positive attitude with a fun atmosphere will be provided by the staff.
Those participants who insist on acting out will be used as examples of what to do when youth do the some.
Let’s have some fun!

Things not to bring:
Archery equipment.  Leave it at home.
We will provide everything you need for the class: Compound bows, arrows, wrist guards, quivers, targets and target faces.
