2010 Sea Base
June 12 -18, 2010
Indian Waters Council is forming a contingent to Sea Base in 2010!
The 2010 contingent will be the Keys Adventure. The Keys Adventure program is a sampling of all the adventures
Sea Base has to offer - snorkeling, a day long sailing cruise, fishing (in the gulf stream, on a reef or night fishing
for sharks), an overnighter on Big Munson Island (Sea Base's primitive island) and a day in Key West. Scouts
on this adventure bunk in the air conditioned dorms of the Brinton Environmental Center at Summerland Key
(just north of Key West).
We still have 2 crews available.
Both crews are scheduled from Saturday, June 12 - Friday, June 18, 2010 and travel is not included in that
time period.
Each crew has 2 adult slots and 4 - 6 scout slots.
If your troop wants an entire crew, that can be arranged. If you are the only scout from your troop, that can be
accommodated as well.
Cost will be dependent upon final travel plans - lodging, transportation, amoiunt of time spend touring on the way
down to Sea Base, etc... With an all inclusive package (similar to the 2009 package), it should be not more than
$1275 and probably less.
Scouts must be 14 by September 1, 2010. There are medical requirements because this is high adventure and
medical attention is not always immediately available.
How do you sign up? Provide your name, email address, unit number and pay the $150 deposit at the Scout
Service Center.
