Purpose
 Webelos Waters is designed to give Webelos Scouts the opportunity to work towards their Arrow of Light Award. While gaining knowledge in outdoor programs and activities.
 
Registration Info
 Registration is by pack, although individual registration will be allowed if only one boy from a pack is interested. Participation for Webelos Waters is limited to 12 patrols of 10 boys on a first come, first serve basis. Places are secured by completing the enclosed registration f orm and payment of the fee.

Fees: $95 per youth and $40 per parent.

Uniforms
 Scouts will be expected to wear their full “Class A” uniform for all formations, campfire and closing. At all other times an activity uniform of scout shorts and scout t-shirt are acceptable.
 
Program Areas
 Program areas will be dedicated to Ecology, Aquatics, Camping & Outdoor Skills, Shooting Sports, Climbing and First Aid.

Here’s the skinny on this event:

  • It’s for Webelos only (and their parents & leaders); siblings cannot be accommodated
  • The boys will be formed into patrols of 10
  • Boy Scout patrol leaders and assistant patrol leaders will lead each patrol
  • The patrols will rotate through advancement oriented activities, scout skill activities, on a set schedule
  • Most activity sessions will be Boy Scout lead
  • A ceremonial campfire on 2 evenings
  • There will be a climbing wall;
  • The event will meet several of the Arrow of Light requirements
  • Boys will be able to complete most of the Aquanaut, Outdoorsman, Readyman and Geologist at Webelos Waters
  • The maximum boy: leader/parent ratio is 4:1; All parents serving as a leader must be registered with the BSA and take Youth Protection Training.
  • Meals will be in the dining hall
  • Each Scout must have completed a Health Form before arriving

What To Bring: Sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, pillow, tent, flashlights, toothbrush, toiletries, rain gear, jacket, hat, (evenings can get cool). Place sleeping items in a heavy duty garbage bag for the Scout to carry or in a good duffel bag or backpack; if he drops it, everything stays clean and dry. The walk to your camp could be 1/4 mile. Your Scout's uniform should be marked with his name on the labels and in his hat.
